ASTR 002. Tracing the Unseen UniverseThe evolution of the universe has predominantly been driven by the presence of dark energy and dark matter, neither of which can be directly observed. Aimed at a general audience, this course will review how astronomers have used visible celestial objects as tracers to both discover and deepen our understanding of the nature and role of dark matter and dark energy. Prerequisite: One semester of college calculus or permission from the Instructor. Natural sciences and engineering. 1 credit.
