ENGR 001. Design and Sculpture in the Digital Age

This intensive, cross-disciplinary course will combine digital technologies and rapid prototyping with analog drawing and sculpting. Students will work in rotating teams, each comprised by a designer/artist and an engineer/technologist, on a series of projects which cover a range of fabrication technologies. Course participants will engage in a formal process of critique, revision, and review. Enrollment is limited; interested students will be asked to submit a personal statement detailing their interest in the course and aptitude for collaboration, as well as a portfolio presenting personal work they deem relevant to the course.
