ENVS 000SR. StuRun: Grief, Agency, Meaning

This course serves to provide students with the (potential) space and resources to face the unraveling of the world as we know it; interrogate how we got here, thinking beyond mainstream narratives of climate change; and explore different notions of responsibility and activism. As the poet and philosopher Bayo Akomolafe asks, "What if how we respond to the crisis is part of the crisis?" Coursework will include weekly readings and journaling, class facilitation, a mid-semester creative project, an "action" project designed by the student, and a collective end-of-semester reflection.
