ENGR 084. Heat TransferStudents are introduced to the physical phenomena involved in heat transfer. Analytical techniques are presented together with empirical results to develop tools for solving problems in heat transfer by conduction, forced and free convection, and radiation. Numerical techniques are discussed for the solution of conduction problems. Offered in the fall semester of alternate years. Prerequisite: ENGR 041 or permission of the instructor. Natural sciences and engineering practicum. Lab included. 1 credit. Fall 2022. Macken. Catalog chapter: Engineering Department website: http://www.swarthmore.edu/engineering
