HIST 058. Africa in America: Gullah/Geechee Life and Culture

This course traces the history of the Gullah/Geechee from West Africa, through enslavement and emancipation to contemporary political struggles culminating in a field school research trip to the NPS Gullah/Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor.
This course is not open to first-year students.
