POLS 004. Introduction to International Relations (IR)In this course, we will explore the fundamental concepts of the field of international relations. Students will learn the basic facts about international conflict, the international economy, international law, development, and the world environment, among other things. Furthermore, we will study the fundamental theoretical concepts and theories of international relations. Using these theories, students will be able to sort through arguments about various topics in international relations and make judgment calls for yourself. Finally, students will learn how these concepts have evolved over time and how we can use them to hypothesize what lies ahead for international relations. Social sciences. 1 credit.
