ARTT 052. Sculpture II - Woodworking


This course is designed to introduce students to general woodworking practices. Students will expand their knowledge and experience through various projects, lessons and vocabulary. Students will be expected to learn about and safely use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery. The projects are designed to give students as much experience as possible by using many different machines and tools. Emphasis is on a variety of design approaches, including non-fuctional and fuctional forms, through the execution of working drawings, and completing wood projects. The teaching method includes slide lectures, demonstrations of techniques and individual guidance on studio projects. 
Prerequisite: ARTT 001  or ARTT 002  
Corequisite: ARTT 001  or ARTT 002
