POLS 083. Where's the Science in Political Science?: Applied Research Methods


From research design to data analysis, this course will provide students with the basics of conducting empirical social science research. The aim of the course is to teach students to better comprehend, analyze and conduct scholarly political science research. Students will practice inference and hypothesis testing with both qualitative and quantitative data.  They will also complete a research project on a topic of their choice. The course will culminate with an academic style conference, where students will present their research and review the research of their peers.
