ENGL 082. Transnational Feminist TheoryThis class introduces perspectives from domestic United States and global contexts in order to ask: How do the contributions of women of color in the United States and of feminist movements in the "Third World" radically reshape the form and content of feminist and queer politics? Through critical inquiry into major texts in transnational feminist and queer studies, the course dynamically reconceptualizes the relationship between women and nation; between gender, sexuality and globalization; and between feminist/queer theory and practice. Humanities. 1 credit. Eligible for GSST Catalog chapter: English Literature Department website: http://www.swarthmore.edu/english-literature
