ENVS 071. Remote Sensing of Environment


The overall goal of this course is to provide students with a working knowledge of the principles and applications of satellite remote sensing of the environment. Students will learn the concepts and techniques of satellite remote sensing and image analysis for environmental resource inventory and mapping, land use analysis, and monitoring natural and urban environmental resources. Lab provides hands-on experience, including a practical/team project, in an introduction to satellite image analysis techniques.
Prerequisite: ENVS 070 or permission of the Instructor.
