ENGR 016. Biomedical Modeling and Simulation (Cross-listed as BIOL 061 ) This course covers the fundamentals of modeling biomedical systems. Topics include: unit analysis, exponential growth/decay, half-life, exponential vs. age-structured death models, sigmoidal growth models, sigmoidal effect models, mass-action reaction rates, and experimental measurement noise models. MATLAB is used to simulate all of the phenomena. Prerequisite: MATH 025 Natural sciences and engineering practicum. Lab required. 1 credit. Spring 2026. Piovoso.
