PSYC 015. Black Strengths, Black Joy This course uses the Black psychological literature to examine the theory and research that focuses on Black people’s assets, strengths, and positive outcomes. The course will incorporate scholarship from positive psychology to focus on Black identity, belongingness, resilience, creativity, and socioemotional outcomes across diverse contexts. We will also be intersectional in our approach, bringing gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation, and class to bear in our discussion.
