PSYC 027. Scientific Computing for Psychology Progress in psychology (and many other fields) increasingly relies on using computational tools for data analysis. This course is intended to provide an introduction to scientific computing for students interested in Psychology, but who have little programming experience. Students will learn MATLAB, a programming language widely used for scientific research, through a process of framing hypotheses, performing statistical tests, and visualizing results using large datasets collected from psychological experiments. Note that this course serves as a possible prerequisite for a more advanced scientific computing course in the Fall. Prerequisite: PSYC 001 and PSYC 025 or permission of Instructor. Social sciences. Spring 2025. Ezzyat. Spring 2026. Metzger.
