PHYS 137. Cosmological Physics An introduction to cosmology which includes the study of the origin, evolution, and content of the universe: isotropy, homogeneity, and geometry of the universe; gravitational collapse and formation of proto-galactic structures; statistical mechanics and fluid dynamics in an expanding universe; observational tests of the standard cosmology model; extensions to the standard cosmological model including scalar field dark matter and modified theories of gravity.
