BIOL 119. Genomics and Systems Biology Recently developed genomic, proteomic, metabolomic, and systems approaches have fundamentally changed how scientists investigate important biological questions. This seminar focuses on understanding stress at a cellular level with an emphasis on protein homeostasis in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. Readings will include animal, plant, fungal, and bacterial literature.
Prerequisite: BIOL 019, BIOL 049, or any Group I intermediate biology course with permission of the instructor. Prerequisite Intermediate Course sucessfully completed with a grade of B (3.0) or better. Natural sciences and engineering. 1 credit. Fall 2025. Kaplinsky.
