DANC 049A. Repertory/Ensemble: Contemporary Modern Dance

Contemporary Modern Repertory/Ensemble is a performance course that investigates ideas in contemporary modern dance. Students will take part in a directed creative process, generating original material through guided improvisation and composition exercises. The work will be presented at the end of the semester in the Swarthmore Dance Concert.

If taken for academic credit, a final reflection paper and acting as an assigned rehearsal assistant at times are required.

Graded CR/NC.
Prerequisite: DANC 060. Modern III
Corequisite: Concurrently taking DANC 050 Modern II, DANC 060 Modern III, DANC053 African II, or DANC061 Ballet III.
