ENGL 070H. Advanced Fiction Workshop In this class we will study the art and craft of writing and publishing fiction. This course will allow students to explore various short fiction publication venues while also honing in on their own short fiction craft. Our classes will consist of in-depth analyses of students’ stories with some informal discussion of published, selected short stories. When possible, published authors will be invited to answer student questions related to craft and publication strategies in Q&A sessions. Students will be required to engage with writing prompts and to participate in workshops of their submitted manuscripts. Limited to 12 students. Graded CR/NC.
