HIST 003A. Modern Europe, 1789 to 1918: Radicals and Revolutions

This course surveys European history from the French Revolution to the aftermath of World War I.  We will explore the radical and revolutionary movements that remade European society from the late eighteenth century through the early twentieth century.  We will analyze how new social relations, cultural norms, and technoglogies abetted repeated attempts to dismatle existing political orders and social hierarchies and bring new ones to life.
