BIOL 023. Toxicology This course offers an introduction to the fundamental principles of toxicology, with special emphasis on neurotoxicology. Students will learn about the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying toxic responses and gain insights into modern approaches for chemical safety assessment in toxicology. In the laboratory, students will learn safe working practices with hazardous materials and study the effects of various agents on the nervous system.
This course serves as a Group A Neuroscience elective.
Prerequisite: BIOL 001, BIOL 002, CHEM 010 , MATH 015 , and STAT 011 or their equivalents; or with permission from the instructor.
