This course will teach you the fundamentals of materials science and engineering, covering mechanical, electronic, and optical properties of polymers, ceramics, metals, semiconductors, and more. We’ll question what sustainability means in the context of materials production, consumption, and recycling. Class activities include materials characterization labs, structured debates, case studies, and a final project.
