THEA 009A. A History of Gender Binary and Non-Binary Clothing This course will explore the evolution of clothing from the ancient times to the current and offer a deep insight into fashion trends through the lens of gender. We will make a stop at the late 18th Century, when modern gender binary fashion took root, then continue our journey through alternative trends, including androgynous and unisex fashions, before ultimately ending at the current and a commentary on the future of clothing.
This course is open to all without prerequisite.
