Fall 2025

August 26	Residence halls open for new students
August 22-25	International Student Orientation
August 26-31	New Student Orientation.
August 28	Advising begins. All-advisor meeting in morning; individual advising begins in afternoon.
August 29	Residence halls open for returning students. Computer preregistration for first-year and transfer students only.
August 31	Meal plan starts at dinner.
September 1	Labor Day. No classes.
September 2	Classes begin.
September 15	Drop/add ends. Last day to delete a course from or add to permanent registration. Last day to uncover a shadow grade for a CR course from the previous semester.
October 1	Final examination schedule available online.
October 6	All outstanding incompletes from Spring semester must be complete and graded.
October 10	Fall Break begins after last class.
October 20	Fall classes resume at 8:30 a.m.
October 29	Schedule of courses and seminars for next semester available online.
November 7	Last day to declare CR/NC grading option. Last day to withdraw from a course and receive the grade notation “W.”
Ocrober 30- November 10	Advising period.
November 11-13	Pre-enrollment for spring semester. Pre-enrollment ends at 4 p.m.
November 26	Thanksgiving Break begins after last class.
December 1	Fall classes resume at 8:30 a.m.
December 1	Note: All accounts must show a zero or positive balance to enroll or select a room for spring semester.
December 8	Follows a Monday schedule to make up for Labor Day Monday.
December 9	Follows a Thursday schedule to make up for Thanksgiving Thursday.
December 10	Follows a Friday schedule to make up for Thanksgiving Friday.
December 10	Classes end
December 14-20	Finals exam period
December 19	100-level seminars end. The fourteenth meetings of Fall 100-level seminars may meet in either the seminar format or for a final exam, up to the discretion of the professor.
December 20	Finals end at noon. Residence halls close at 6 p.m. Meal plan ends at lunch.

Spring 2026

Jan 17	Residence halls open at noon
Jan 18	Meal plan starts at dinner
Jan 19	Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day Holiday. No classes on MLK Day.
Jan 20	Classes begin
Feb 2	Drop/add ends. Last day to delete a course from or add one to permanent registration. Last day to uncover a shadow grade for a CR course from the previous semester.
Feb 23	All outstanding incompletes from Fall semester must be complete and graded
Mar 6	Final examination schedule available on-line
Mar 6	Spring Break Begins after last class
Mar 16	Spring Classes Resume
Mar 25	Schedule of courses and seminars for next semester available on-line
Mar 27	Last day to declare CR/NC grading option. Last day to withdraw from a course and receive the grade “W”
Apr 1	Note: All accounts must show a $0 or positive balance to enroll and select a room for the fall semester
Mar 30 - Apr 1	Advising period
Apr 13 - 15	Pre-enrollment for fall semester
Apr 15	Pre-enrollment ends at 4 p.m.
May 1	Classes and seminars end, as originally scheduled.
May 11	Faculty Deadline for Grades Due for Trico seniors, Monday noon. Note this is before many of our finals have met.
May 7 - 14	Course Final & Honors written examinations. If you must make travel arrangements before the examination schedule is published, do not plan to leave until after finals
May 15	Meal plan ends at dinner for all but seniors
May 15	Residence halls close to all but seniors . (Non-seniors are expected to leave the college within 24 hours after their last examination)
May 17 - 19	Honors Orals
May 19	Faculty Deadline for Senior Grades Due, Tuesday noon.
May 19	Senior Deadline for CR Shadow Grade Uncovering, Tuesday 11:59PM. No extensions.
May 23	Baccalaureate
May 24	Commencement
May 25	Residence halls close
May 29 - 31	Alumni weekend
May 28	Faculty Deadline for All Spring Grades Due
