HIST 010. Asian American HistoryASAM 010 This course explores how "Asian America" came to be. We will begin with the historical experiences of Asians in the U.S., examine the origins of the term "Asian American" in the movements of the 1960s and 1970s, and consider its current contested usage as a demographic category.
