ENGR 006. Introduction to Mechanics IThis is the first of two courses that cover fundamental areas of engineering statics including force equilibrium, deformable bodies, stress-strain relations, flexure, and torsion. Laboratory work includes a MATLAB workshop, experiments on deformable bodies, and a truss-bridge team design competition. Prerequisite: MATH 015 is required. PHYS 003 is strongly recommended.
