CPSC 091T. Special Topics: Theory of Communication

This course will investigate advanced topics in theoretical computer science, with a focus on the challenges faced by communication between computers. Topics covered include noisy channels, eavesdroppers, correctness proofs, finite probability distributions, information theory, entropy, and NP-completeness.
This is a Group 1 course.
Prerequisite: CPSC 035 and MATH 027 or permission of the instructor is required.
