ENGR 068. Energy and the Environment.This course is an introduction to quantitative concepts related to energy and the environment. It covers current and future demands for energy; methods of power generation including fossil fuel, nuclear, and renewables; associated detrimental by-products; and advanced strategies to improve power densities, efficiencies and emissions. The course covers the critical issues facing energy extraction, cultivation, transformation, transportation, consumption, disposal, environmental impacts and policy.
