DANC 012. Dance Lab II: Making Dance

This course focuses on developing an individual practice and approach based on their own interests and questions.  The course seeks to expand the notion of dance making and the study of choreographic methodologies and strategies identified in Dance Lab I.  The students will be invited to experiment with and re-imagine the compositional strategies that they have studied.

This course goes in depth with a variety of research practices and allows students to begin to establish an individual practice where the emphasis is on exploration and process.  Students will share bi-weekly regarding their practices for feedback and critical discussion.  A final performance for the public is required.
Students with whom the choreographer works and who commit to 3 hours weekly, may receive PE credit under DANC 011A . Dance Production Practicum.
