ENGR 041. Thermofluid MechanicsThis course introduces macroscopic thermodynamics: first and second laws, properties of pure substances, and applications using system and control volume formulation. Also introduced is fluid mechanics: development of conservation theorems, hydrostatics, and the dynamics of one-dimensional fluid motion with and without friction. Prerequisite: ENGR 006 , ENGR 012 , and MATH 033 , MATH 034 , or MATH 035 . Natural sciences and engineering practicum. Lab and Problem session required. 1 credit. Fall 2022. Macken, Everbach.
