DANC 012. Dance Lab: Making Dance II An elaboration and extension of the material studied in DANC 011 . Stylistically varying approaches to making work are explored in compositions for soloists and groups. Coursework emphasizes using various approaches and methods (e.g., theme and variation, motif and development, structured improvisation, and others). Reading, video and live concert viewing, movement studies, journals, and a final piece for public performance that may include a production lab component are required. Prerequisites: DANC 011 or its equivalent. A course in dance technique must be taken concurrently. Students with whom the choreographer works and who commit to 3 hours weekly, may receive PE credit under DANC 011A . Dance Production Practicum. 1 credit.
