LATN 032. Latin Satire This course will focus on the Latin satirical poetry of Horace and Juvenal. We will also read Greek and Latin texts in English (e.g. Aristophanes, Plautus, Terence, Lucian), to explore ancient ideas about humor in general and literary characters in particular. The course is intended for students at the advanced intermediate level in Latin, e.g. a 5 on the Latin AP or one or two intermediate Latin courses at the college level.
