LING 036. Languages of the World This course is an introduction to the field of Linguistic Typology - a branch of linguistics that is concerned with investigating the variation that exists in naturally occurring human languages. Students will be introduced to some of the topics that are of interest in this field, including, but not limited to: word orders, agglutination, case alignment, sound systems, phonologies, and more. 1 credit.
