BIOL 144. Stem Cells and Development Research In this intensive research course, teams of students will survey relevant literature along with unpublished data from the Davidson lab to formulate hypotheses regarding the contribution of stem cells to heart growth or blood cell differentiation. They will then independently design and execute experiments to test these hypotheses. At the end of the semester, students will analyze their data and participate in a poster session showcasing their projects.
This course satisfies an elective credit for Biology majors and minors. However, it does not satisfy any of the Advanced Seminar, Group I, II, or III requirements. Prerequisite: Any Group I or II Intermediate course; or permission of the instructor. Natural Sciences and Engineering. No lab. 1 Credit.
