BIOL 120. Physiological Ecology. This seminar is focused on physiological responses to variable environmental conditions. Endocrine, reproductive, metabolic, renal, and other physiological systems will be explored in this seminar, with a strong emphasis on maternal effects. We will use the primary literature as a guide to discuss experimental design, trends in the field of physiological ecology, and science communication. Class time will be focused on discussion and student presentations. Prerequisite: BIOL 001, 002, and 020, or permission of the instructor. Prerequisite Intermediate Course sucessfully completed with a grade of B (3.0) or better. Natural science and engineering. 1 Credit.
