ECON 073. Race, Ethnicity, and Gender in Economics Does difference make a difference in economics? In this course, we use the theoretical and empirical tools of economics to recognize and analyze the diverse economic experiences of individuals and groups and to explore sources of and solutions to persistent inequalities. We also examine the roles of difference and diversity in the development of economic theory and policy. Prerequisite: ECON 001 Social sciences. 1 credit. Eligible for BLST, GSST Spring 2026. Staff.
