ECON 151. International Trade In this course, we will discuss and study international trade and the global economy through the lenses of both microeconomics and macroeconomics. Topics include different types of theoretical trade models, empirical trade patterns, the role of trade barriers, international flows of labor and capital, and macroeconomic interdependence. The course will also touch upon modern spatial economics, such as economic geography, internal migration, regional inequalities, urban development, and the growth of cities. The course will involve a culminating project in which students will have the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned to real-life topics in trade and/or the global economy. Prerequisite: ECON 011 and ECON 021 Social sciences. 2 credits. Eligible for ASIA, PEAC, GLBL Core Spring 2025. Ko. Spring 2026. Staff.
