ENGR 076. Engineering Applications of Waves and Physical Optics Focusing on applications of waves, especially in optics, topics such as polarization, waveguides, optical fibers, transmission lines, antennas, lasers, and optical detectors will be included. Time will be divided approximately equally between classroom and laboratory work. Students will choose a topic of current relevance for an individual or group project, and present their results. Prerequisite: MATH 033 , MATH 034 or MATH 035 ; ENGR 012 or PHYS 008 ; or permission by the instructor. Natural sciences and engineering practicum. 1 credit. Fall 2024. Molter.
