PHIL 103. Selected Modern Philosophers

One or more philosophers or philosophical works of the 17^th and 18^th Centuries selected for systematic treatment. Most recently: Descartes’s Meditations selected for systematic exploration of Descartes’s seminal contributions to modern and contemporary epistemology, philosophy of mind, and philosophical theology. Additional readings from early modern and commentary commentators and critics, including Kant, Brentano, Russell, Ryle, Wittgenstein, among others.
This seminar is intended for Seniors and Juniors, with priority given to honors students taking it as an honors preparation. Others should contact the instructor for permission to enroll.
