PSYC 132. Perception: Seminar

Perception is fundamental to both cognition and action, yet much of it is both subjective and private and deeply biological. How is this fundamental aspect of our experience structured and how has it evolved? This seminar, which is a co-requisite of PSYC 032, provides a rich format for the discussion of scientific work in the study of perceptual systems and perception itself. Students normally additionally engage in collaborative research projects as part of the course. In conjunction with PSYC 032, this course serves as an honors preparation in Psychology, Cognitive Science or in Neuroscience.
