PHIL 042. Descartes in Contemporary Philosophy Responses to Descartes’s early modern philosophical innovations include basic contemporary work in philosophy of mind, epistemology, philosophy of religion, and metaphysics. Readings from authors who may include Frege, Russell, Moore, Husserl, Ryle, Wittgenstein, Kripke, Plantinga, Stroud and others.
