PHIL 042. Descartes in Contemporary Philosophy Responses to Descartes’ early modern philosophical innovations include basic contemporary work in philosophy of mind, epistemology, philosophy of religion, and metaphysics. Readings from Frege, Russell, Moore, Husserl, Ryle, Wittgenstein, Kripke, Plantinga, Stroud and others. Prerequisite: First- and second-year students must complete one introductory level PHIL course before enrolling in this course. Humanities.
