ECON 045. Labor Economics This course offers an introduction to labor economics. Students will learn to apply microeconomic principles to topics such as labor supply and demand, unemployment, determinants of earnings, minimum wages, taxes and transfers, immigration, discrimination, education, and labor unions. Students will investigate these topics by evaluating recent economic research and analyzing labor market data. Prerequisite: ECON 011 and ECON 031 Social sciences. 1 credit.
