MUSI 095. Independent Study: Advanced Orchestral Conducting

Students who have successfully completed MUSI 017 (Introduction to Orchestral Conducting) may, with permission of the instructor, continue to explore orchestral conducting in a repeatable Independent Study. Students meet with the instructor for one hour per week of score study and technical practice, and are expected to devote a significant amount of time preparing these skills for each meeting. Once a student is sufficiently advanced, they may become eligible to conduct the Swarthmore Lab Orchestra, a chamber orchestra of student musicians.

Prerequisite: MUSI 017 (Introduction to Orchestral Conducting) or permission of the instructor
