ENVS 072. Energy and Sustainability Cross-listed with PHYS 022 This course surveys the full range of sustainable energy technologies, including wind, solar, hydrogen, batteries, and pumped hydro, and examines how they work and how they are deployed at scale. Students will compare the effectiveness and impacts of these solutions across different regions, using Australia’s energy transition as a central case study to highlight real-world successes and challenges. Emphasizing the urgent role of sustainable energy in combating climate change, the course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of how diverse technologies can work together to shape a cleaner and more resilient energy future.
