ENGR 003. Problems in Technology For students not majoring in science or engineering, this course will concentrate on the automobile and its impact on society. Class time will cover the principles of operation of vehicles and student lead discussions on related technical, political, social, and economic issues. Possible laboratory topics include evaluating alternative power systems (e.g., solar, hydrogen, and electric); investigating alternative fuels; and understanding existing automotive components. Enrollment is limited. Usually offered in alternate years. Natural sciences and engineering practicum. Writing course. 1 credit.
